There has been increasing recognition of the need to preserve biodiversity and the role that financial institutions can play: nature loss poses a major risk to businesses, while moving to nature-positive investments offers opportunity. In this context, this webinar will center on nature-related risks and opportunities, from the perspective of disclosure. Specifically, it features presentation from the TNFD secretariat on what the framework (https://framework.tnfd.global/) is and how it is applicable to financial institutions. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with experts from the financial sector on the progress in navigating nature-related risks and opportunities.

This event is the first webinar hosted by the GIP Working Group on Climate and Environmental Information Disclosure (WG2) that Crédit Agricole CIB co-chairs with Industrial Bank of China. The WG aims to help GIP members build capacity in sustainability-related disclosure and had hosted a handful of events since 2019.
